Celebration Serves Haiti
A catastrophic earthquake hit Haiti and is estimated to be the worst national disaster in the Western Hemisphere in the last 200 years. The magnitude of destruction is still unfolding. This is the time when the body of Christ has an opportunity to stand up and to engage a need by shining the light of hope and the love of Jesus in Haiti. In Proverbs 31:8-9 we are compelled to, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice."

The February CelebrationSERVES Haiti missions team getting to know the Haitian children whose lives have been forever changed by the 7.0 earthquake that rocked the island earlier this year.
Wednesday, February 24th Report.
Our team is doing great-- preparing for the weeks ahead and connecting with children and families in the area. Early this morning, we dropped off one of our team members at Light Ministries Clinic so she can help provide relief to some of the medical staff. We saw several hundred people waiting in line to be helped. After that, the rest of the team hauled concrete to prepare for our construction work this week. Tonight we'll be speaking at a local church to many of the affected families.
Words cannot express the level of destruction we have already seen; building after building reduced to rubble, yet it's incredible to see the resiliency of people as they work to rebuild their lives.
Pray for us to be open for all God has in store for us this week, and that we would bring aid, relief and hope to the people we meet.
